Research indicates that continuity of lessons is an important component of success when learning a musical instrument. In the case of children the common three week disruption due to regular school holidays can set back learning progress. Therefore Kerikeri Guitar is pleased to offer a lower cost per lesson option of lessons that continue through the school holiday periods (Option 1 below).
Except by special arrangement Kerikeri Guitar offers no teaching between December 21 to January 20.

Terms of Tuition
Students taking music lessons for the first time should be aware, that by agreeing to take music lessons, they are entering into a contract whereby they agree to purchase, in advance, the scheduled time and guidance of their music teacher. Fees and due dates of payment are laid out above.
Missed lessons
Kerikeri Guitar will endeavour to reschedule missed lessons in the same week as the missed lesson, if reasonable notice or reason is provided. However, it should be noted that timetable constraints might not always allow for this. If a lesson cannot be satisfactorily rescheduled then no entitlement to a make-up lesson is provided for, but credit for a missed lesson may be extended on a case by case basis. Students are entitled to choose rescheduling, refund or credit in the case of a lesson missed due to cancellation on the part of Kerikeri Guitar.
The importance of lesson continuity
Continuity of lessons and daily practice are important components of success when learning a musical instrument. Three week disruption due to school holidays can significantly set back progress for some children. Kerikeri Guitar is pleased to offer the option of lessons that continue through the school holiday periods.
Public Holidays
Public holidays can disrupt lesson scheduling, particularly those lessons attended on Mondays and Fridays. For this reason midweek time slots are preferentially filled. If a lesson is affected by pubic holidays the lesson may be rescheduled by mutual consent or an adjustment of fee may apply. Kerikeri Guitar is under no obligation to refund fees if a reasonable and alternative lesson time has been offered but not accepted.
Midweek public holidays are not observed.
